    RED

    Antinori Brunello de Montalcino 2019

    Grape –  100% Sangiovese Grosso

    Tasting notes –  Ruby red in colour, the nose presents a complex bouquet of black cherries & blood oranges that follows over violets, vanilla & light balsamic aromas

    Summary –  The Antinori family have the very beginning followed a philosophy based on aging in large that preserve the integrity and fruit of the Sangiovese grape. Best pairings: grilled meats, braised dishes & ragu based pasta sauces


    Pio Cesare Barolo Ornato 2019

    Grape –  100% Nebbiolo

    Tasting notes –  Full bodied & elegant, hints of ripe fruits, cherries, plums, blackberries, with floral undertones. Firm tannins, earthy nuances, hints of spices like cinnamon & anise. Long aging wine

    Summary –  Pio Cesare has been producing wines for 135 years in its ancient cellars in the heart of the Piedmont region of Italy. Ideal pairings include red meats, aged cheeses & dishes with truffle or porcini mushrooms


    Giuseppe Quintarelli Valpolicella Classico 2016

    Grape –  55% Corvina & Corvinone, 30% Rondinella & 15% blends

    Tasting notes –  Made from 50% fresh bunches and 50% dried bunches (2 months), which yields a combination of  fruity, spicy & peppery notes (such as cherry, raspberry, plum, cinnamon & clove)

    Summary –  Giuseppe Quintarelli, or “Bepi” is one of the greatest Italian Winemakers. The winery’s signature hand-drawn labels became a brand of the winery. Perfect with roasted meats, pasta with rich meat sauces, game and aged cheeses


    Terlan Pinot Noir Monticol Riserva 2021

    Grape –  100% Pinot Noir

    Tasting notes –  Intensive ruby red, delicate primary fruit aromas of wild strawberries, raspberry and cherry blend with restrained elegant spicy notes & aromas of earthy flint

    Summary –  The winery was founded in 1893 and brought international fame to Terlano, a little South Tyrolean village. Cantina Terlano has a traditional focus on long-living wines. This Riserva perfectly matches venison and veal based dishes


    Argiolas Turriga IGT 2019

    Grape –  85% Cannonau, 5% Carignano, 5% Bovale Sardo & 5% Malvasia Nira

    Tasting notes –  The full spectrum of notes include violets, tobacco, leather and cocoa & Mediterranean herbs & spices. Full bodied and warm, with a long finish

    Summary –  The crown jewel of Sardinian reds, using only grapes native to the island. Pairs with grilled or stewed game, rich red meats, aged cheeses & earthy mushrooms risotto

    WHITE

    Rossj – Bass Langhe DOP 2022

    Grape –  95% Chardonnay & 5% Sauvignon Blanc

    Tasting notes –  White melon & nectarine peach, elder & jasmine blossom. In mouth citrus fruits & fresh hints of menthol. Vibrant wine with crisp, lingering finish

    Summary –  A true gem in the world of Italian whites, from an exceptional producer, the Gaja family hail from the Piedmont region. A perfect pairing with seafood dishes & creamy cheeses


    St. Michael-Eppan Sanct Valentin

    Grape –  100% Pinot Grigio

    Tasting notes –  Deep straw yellow with fruity aroma of apple, pear, vanilla, toasted white bread & hazelnuts. Strong in character, creamy, full-bodied, pleasant acidity & smoky nuances

    Summary –  First produced in 1986 up north in Alto Adige, one of Italy’s most notable Pinot Grigios and promises an excellent experience even after many years of ageing


    Tenuta Delle Terre Nere, Etna Bianco DOC 2022

    Grape –  70% Carricante, 20% Catarratto, 5% Grecanico & 5% Inzolia

    Tasting notes –  Pale yellow colour with floral notes reminiscent of linden blooms. Dry, fresh & salty, with intriguing mineral essence coming from the volcanic soil

    Summary –  From the volcanic soil of Mt. Etna in Sicily, defined as the ‘Burgundy of the Mediterranean’. Perfect  with seafood risotto, chicken, rabbit, prosciutto / melon & salami / figs

    SPARKLING

    Contratto “For England” Rosé 2017

    Grape –  100% Pinot Noir

    Tasting notes – The salmon pink colour reflects extreme elegance. Hints of citrus peel and marzipan. On the palate it is intense & well-structured, with notes of peach & thyme

    Summary –  For England is an extremely elegant sparkling rosé, initially produced to delight the palates in the British market in the early ‘90s. The effervescence is creamy & consistent


    Contadi Castaldi Rosé Franciacorta DOC N/V

    Grape –  65% Chardonnay & 36% Pinot Noir

    Tasting notes –  Fine & persistent pérlage. Notes of wild berries, rose, with hints of apple & tropical fruit. The mouth is structured, crisp & lively. The finish is long & well balanced

    Summary –  Franciacorta is a high-quality Italian sparkling produced in the Lombardy region of Italy. Contadi is a modern style Franciacorta, making skillful use of the Pinot Noir grapes


    Contadi Castaldi Brut Franciacorta DOC N/V

    Grape –  80% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir & 10% Pinot Bianco

    Tasting notes – Straw yellow colour with greenish highlights, it is enlivened by a persistent perlage. Fresh, with floral notes of linden, citrus, white peach and green pepper

    Summary –  Despite the complexity of the blend, each grape variety adds its personality. A fresh and crisp sparkling, which delivers sapidity in mouth with a lingering enjoyable finish
