    What is Blue Tree ?

The ever-evolving lifestyle beast on the west coast of Phuket

If you’ve observed any Blue Tree advertising, you’ll likely see a showcasing of the pristine crystal lagoon, private cabanas, exhilarating slides, and the daredevil slip-and-fly, but you’re only scratching the surface. On arrival, you might not even notice The Lagoon’s existence.

You may have heard whispers of sold-out concerts, captivating music acts, or the rising global sports sensation of Padel. Perhaps your children yearned for the excitement of a trampoline park, or you watched in awe as an influencer embraced the intensity of the flourishing Lagree method of training. And yes, Blue Tree even boasts a state-of-the-art F1 driving simulator.

But beyond these enticing tidbits lies an exclusive experience that defies comparison. Let’s not get lost in the details. Blue Tree’s 140 rai of space (or 925 tennis courts!) redefines the tropical lifestyle in a way that’s continually evolving and captivating, boasting a medley of ‘chills and thrills’ catering to all.

Thrill or chill. Take your pick at the Blue Tree Lagoon.

Blue Tree Lagoon, a one-of-a-kind attraction in Phuket, in the thriving Cherngtalay area, strikes a perfect balance between adventure and serenity. For adrenaline enthusiasts, like myself, the Superfly and Zipline are absolute must-tries. Take on the thrilling slip-and-fly, manoeuvre mid-air for a smooth landing, and ensure your body stays as pencil as possible to land unscathed – this is a recommendation from personal experience. The Zipline, spanning the width of the lagoon, offers a slightly tamer but equally exhilarating experience. As you soar higher and faster, watch your reflection zip across the water’s surface. If these adventures still leave you yearning for more, scale the climbing wall and aim for that perfect cliff jump—I regret to admit, I didn’t quite make it that far. You can also embark on paddleboarding, wakeboarding, and an array of floating games. A day here is incomplete without trying them all.

For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, Blue Tree Lagoon has you covered. Seek out the nearest cabana, get cosy and chillax, order some delectable food and perhaps a drink if you fancy, and simply unwind. What’s not to love about lounging at this pristine oasis, where attentive staff cater to your every whim? You can take a dip in the pool or recline on lilos and other comfortable spots—the choice is yours.

    Beyond the Pool

Blue Tree offers more than just a fantastic pool experience.  If you’ve exhausted the activities at the lagoon, or simply seek more fun, amidst the lush greenery surrounding the lagoon you’ll find outdoor adventure trails, climbing frames, a skate park, and outdoor gym equipment. The skate park, in particular, captured my kids’ hearts, and I could hardly pry them away.

Venture on toward the Lifestyle Village, where the excitement continues. The appropriately named Adventure Village is perfect for high-energy kids who are bursting with enthusiasm about their Blue Tree adventure. Here, you can tire them out on trampolines, diving into ball pits, and perhaps even attempt your second zipline of the day. For younger ones, Kids Planet is a delightful option, offering colouring activities and a treasure trove of toys.

Get Bikini Body ready and live the active lifestyle at Blue Tree

For those seeking an active lifestyle, Blue Tree provides various ways to get fit and beach-ready. If you’re part of the wellness movement the lifestyle village is a healthy hub with its own bustling community, you’ll be delighted to discover Lagree, the fastest-growing fitness trend in the USA, at Carve House. Brace yourself as the reformer guides you, likely as you tremble, into positions you never thought possible and experience exertion like no other. Just across from Carve House, you’ll find Yoga Republic, an east-west mixed-style yoga studio that combines cultural immersion with a good sweat in a chic and airy space.

If traditional workouts are more your style, make the most of the skilled trainers at the Optimise gym, which offers one-on-one personal training sessions and value-packed fitness classes to build the best you. Alternatively, explore Utime, a two-storey commercial gym equipped with everything you need, from punching bags to free weights and more.

For those seeking unconventional exercise experiences, Blue Tree offers Padel courts and a thrilling Spartan assault course in November to keep your eyes peeled for. Beware, the Spartan is more challenging than the tales let on. Navigate through, around, and sometimes over obstacles, and try to conquer them all. Your muscles will feel the intensity long after you’re done. Alternatively, grab a friend and engage in Padel, born in Mexico and now one of Phuket’s fastest-growing sports. Whether you play for fun or competition, it’s a social sport that turns competitive when the game is on the line.

    Quality cooking and retail therapy

If none of the aforementioned activities pique your interest, don’t worry. You can leave the more energetic members of your group at the entrance to the Adventure Village and explore the array of boutiques and dining options scattered throughout Blue Tree.

Blue Tree offers a dining experience to suit every palate. You can savour brunch with a view at the Tree House Restaurant & Beach Lounge, relish a grilled lunch at The Bay Grill, or sip signature cocktails on comfy bean bags at the Sunset View Cafe. If you’re in the mood for a casual bite, the Blue Tree Arena hosts a must-try food-truck fare. But don’t just take my word for it; explore and discover light eats or dinner treats from your share of Italian, or  Greek, to eating a wild blue-fin tuna burger that decimates expectations. With multiple premier options, your dining needs are well taken care of.

While the thrill-seekers are away, those seeking relaxation can indulge in retail therapy. Peruse boutiques offering arts and crafts, beauty treatments, and beachwear. If you’re in the mood for a style upgrade, boutiques like Maniki and Kasama Studio offer stunning fashion choices. For a more unique shopping experience, explore yoqopody, a boutique specialising in handcrafted items that tell stories and can beautify your living spaces.

More Than Shopping: Unwind, rejuvenate… and race?

Beyond the shopping scene, you can treat yourself to a massage, manicure, or pedicure at the salons and studios in the Lifestyle Village. For those with a taste for exceptional experiences, Blue Tree offers an F1 Race simulator to test your driving skills.

    Explore the Lifestyle Village

Exploring the Lifestyle Village is a delightful journey. Inspired by Phuket Town’s Sino-Portuguese architecture, it creates a charming open-air environment with vibrant shophouses. And if you find yourself wishing your holiday could last forever, Blue Tree even offers a solution for those who have exceeded their 30-day holiday visa, since they simply couldn’t bear to leave, with the Phuket Immigration Office conveniently located on-site.

    Blue Tree’s booming events

Blue Tree has undergone significant transformations since its opening. From a blue lagoon to a bustling Lifestyle Village, from hosting adventure activities to welcoming 10,000-person concerts featuring renowned international DJs and special events—it’s clear that Blue Tree’s versatile venues are perfect for hosting unforgettable moments. What changes lie ahead? I can’t say for sure, but I’ll be keeping a close eye on the news and ticket releases.

In conclusion, how do I summarise Blue Tree? I can’t. This ever-evolving destination on Phuket’s west coast is a hub of innovation and, above all, playfulness. It’s a place where fun meets relaxation, and adaptability is the name of the game. Without a doubt, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Blue Tree Phuket.
