THE SPA AT SALA PHUKET IS OFFERING A HOLISTIC MONTH THIS HIGH SEASON BY HOSTING RENOWNED THAI LANNA PRACTITIONER MASTER PHIM WANIDA PHOTUN, FROM MARCH 15 – APRIL 15 2025

    By: Roger Osbourne

    A UNIQUE HEALING OPPORTUNITY

Boasting a wealth of knowledge that spans 39 years, Master Phim, is an unrivalled authority on Thai Lanna massage. In addition to creating this technique, which is now honoured nationwide, she has also been acknowledged by the Thai Government with multiple awards for her contribution to job creation in northern Thailand. These accomplishments are rooted in the values set by King Rama 9. Of the signature treatments offered by Master Phim, Thai Lanna Healing and Thai Lanna Heritage Therapy stand out as unique to Thai contemporary society.

Thai Lanna Healing is a practice with deep-rooted connections to ancient wisdom. This therapeutic practice is devoted to treating the entire body. Its goal is to unblock major energy pathways, known as ‘sen’, and to facilitate harmony between the body and its energies. As Chinese medicine relies on acupuncture to maintain wellbeing, Thai Lanna Healing incorporates similar techniques with the aim of alleviating tension and providing relief from pain caused by strains, spasms, aches in the joints and muscles, and migraine headaches. With this approach, ‘prana’, or ‘life force’, is enabled to freely circulate within the body.

Master Phim will be offering one-to-one treatments for guests at the hotel’s award-winning SALA Spa. With her expertise, guests will be able to experience deep healing by clearing blockages in the body’s energy pathways. This process will help to release deep-rooted pains, strains, and underlying issues. Each treatment is priced at THB 4,000++ per hour, with customers having the opportunity to work closely with Master Phim in order to find a long-lasting pathway to better health.

    THE RESORT – ACCOMMODATION

SALA Phuket’s rooms are designed for comfort and relaxation. The standard balcony rooms are spacious and bright, offering essential amenities. However, the true highlights are the 63 pool villas. These spacious, romantic havens boast double beds, outdoor showers, large tubs overlooking private pools, and high walls for ultimate privacy. This 619 sqm of luxury is all you need to enjoy your stay. Top-of-the-range flat-screen TVs, private pools with space to sunbathe, and more in these contemporary, and sleek villas. If you are there either as a family or a couple, these villas will provide you with the ultimate value for money haven. Breakfast is included and of course, WiFi is complimentary

THE RESORT – FOOD & BEVERAGES

SALA Phuket’s dining options are a culinary delight. The SALA Restaurant, located next to the pools, offers a mix of Thai and Western dishes, with rooftop dining offering breathtaking sunset views. Must-try dishes include the Beef Cheek Massaman and their twice-cooked crispy pork belly by Chef Tony. Alternatively, if you’re looking for something a bit more casual I couldn’t recommend more highly, sitting at a table on the sandy shore, and ordering a delicious bowl of authentic Asian noodles. Delicious, light, value for money is amazing, refreshing with flavours to cater to any taste, in the perfect setting for it, you just have to sit out there and give them a go.

    THE RESORT – ENVIRONMENT

Located directly on Mai Khao Beach, 30 minutes north of the Airport, the SALA Phuket impresses with its Sino-Portuguese-inspired design, as seen in historical Phuket Town.

The resort exudes an uncluttered sophistication and peaceful setting, with villas situated close together but cleverly separated by high walls and tree-lined paths, there is a natural sort of immersion in green where you sometimes lose your path in the silent tranquillity of it all, and natural walls of privacy enclose you within nature and your own private pool villa sanctuary. The ambience transitions from private villa gardens to open, inviting, spaces seamlessly.

There are two rectangular pools, including a shallow children’s area, set against a lush lawn leading to the beach. For active guests, paddleboards, kayaks, and complimentary bicycles are available, or get stuck in with their Muay Thai boxing classes out on the private beach. If that sounds too fast-paced for you, slow it all down and practice the mindful ancient art of Yoga at sunset on the beach.

To reserve an unforgettable session with Master Phim contact the SALA Phuket as soon as you can.
